Master of Science Ergonomic Design & Production
Luleå University of Technology, Sweden
I was born 1981 in Lindesberg, but grew up in Stockholm. I like the city, especially in the spring, and that is probably the reason why I have chosen to live in Gothenburg instead of Trollhättan. I commute every day to Trollhättan, which is not a problem, as long as you don’t mind early mornings and spending time on the train.
I have lived abroad twice in my life, one year as an high school exchange student in Australia and one year in the U.S. after graduation. When I came home from the U.S., I studied literature for one semester at Stockholm University before I moved to Luleå in the northern part of Sweden, to get a master of science in Ergonomic Design & Production and majoring in product design and development. During my time in Luleå, I spent one year working at the steelwork to get some industrial experience.
I wrote my master thesis here at Volvo Aero, studying methods of robustness for the concept development process. I enjoyed this time at the company, and therefore I applied for the Young Graduate Programme. For me, this is a dream job, a chance you definitely must take if you get the chance. As a young graduate you get the chance to work at different departments, which is a great way to get to know the whole company and build networks.
