I grew up in Bengtsfors, a small town in northern Dalsland. I have spent the recent years much further north as I have been studying at Luleå University of Technology. Since I have always been interested in the combination of technology and economics, the choice to study Industrial Engineering and Management was an easy decision to make. When it was time to choose a specialization, this was an easy choice as well. Quality management and logistics is still something I find it very interesting and I look forward to learning more in these fields at Volvo Aero.

The Young Graduate Programme at Volvo Aero offers unique opportunities and I consider it a perfect start of my career. First and foremost, you get the opportunity to build a personal network of people from different departments and areas within the company. This network, I believe you will have great use of in your future at Volvo Aero. The periods at different positions during this year means that you get a good understanding of future job opportunities, which I think is excellent if you have recently graduated and do not know exactly in which area you want to work.

The periods also ensure a holistic view over the company's activities, which otherwise might not have been possible to obtain. Since I personally would like to work abroad at some time in the future, it will be great fun having the opportunity to try this in the last part of the program.

I have so far been at three positions during the year. First I was at the Product Management department, which is responsible for product cost and capital efficiency. Then I had the opportunity to work at Strategic sourcing, where I got good insight into their work. Right now I am at the Process Management department, where I have worked with different tasks concerning production control. My tasks during the year have been exciting and instructive, and all the people are very nice and helpful, making you always feel welcome. The year has gone by quickly and I have learned a lot and been given the opportunity to meet interesting people, while at the same time having a lot of fun. The Young Graduate Programme has not only met but exceeded my expectations.
